Today, let the check valve manufacturer discuss the installation position of the check valve, so how to determine the installation position of the check valve? What is the difference between pre-pump installation and post-pump installation of check valves? Where does pre-pump installation apply?
Check valve
Check valves are usually used in conjunction with other valves, and then when used in conjunction with other valves, where is the check valve installed? Let the check valve manufacturer summarize.
The check valve, also known as the check valve, is an automatic valve that relies on the pressure of the flowing medium in the pipeline to promote the valve disc to achieve the closing and opening of the valve. When the medium stops flowing and the stop disc is closed, it can effectively prevent the backflow of the medium in the pipeline, which plays an important role in ensuring the safety of the pipeline.
Check valves can be divided into three types according to structure: lift check valves, swing check valves and butterfly check valves.
Lift check valves can be divided into vertical and straight through two kinds, rotary check valves are divided into single, double and multiple valve three kinds, butterfly check valves are divided into butterfly double valve and butterfly single valve. The above types of check valves can be divided into four types in connection form: threaded connection, flange connection, welded and sandwich connection
The installation of the check valve is to ensure the flow of water inside the pump, so as to ensure the normal operation of the pump, therefore, the installation position of the check valve, whether installed in front of the pump or after the pump, can be divided into two cases:
One is installed in front of the pump erected straw end, also known as the bottom valve, the purpose is not to pump water to the pump, because there is no water in the pump and the straw before the pump, the pump can only idle and cannot pump water, so the pump must be filled with water to extract water. The installation of this pump is a method when it is above the liquid level
The other is installed in the back of the pump, this installation method is, if the liquid level is higher than the pump, when it is convenient to stop the pump, do not close the water valve of the pump, especially the mother pipe pump system, to prevent backflow.
The check valve must be installed at the pump outlet and in front of the outlet control valve to service the check valve. The first line of the general pump outlet is the soft connection "shock absorber", then the check valve, and then the block valve, such as butterfly valve, gate valve, stop valve, etc.
1. Install check valve first, and then install gate valve or butterfly valve.
Advantages: It can protect the check valve, especially in parallel pumps, when the pump does not start and closes the outlet door, the impact force is borne by the gate valve or butterfly valve when the other pump starts. After the check valve fails, the inlet and outlet valve isolation system can be closed for maintenance.
Cons: Who protects gate or butterfly valves? There have been cases where the butterfly valve plate was broken.
1. Install the gate valve or butterfly valve first, and then install the check valve.
Advantages: Butterfly or gate valves can be protected, the impact force depends on the check valve.
In general, due to the relatively frequent closing action of the check valve, the internal connection part and the sealing part are easy to damage. In order to facilitate maintenance and prevent the suspension of the entire system due to the failure of the check valve, from this point of view, the check valve will be installed before the outlet gate valve or butterfly valve. Is that basically what you see?
